The Seoul Institute for Transparency(SIT) was established ·at the University of Seoul in January 2000 to study corruption issues that obstruct economic and social justice in our society and to recommend anti-corruption policy alternatives.
The activities of SIT include research on corruption issues, collection of corruption-related materials, networking with experts on corruption issues, and cooperation with government organizations. The Institute disseminates its research products through publications, reports, seminars and conferences.
As you know, Korean economy has grown rapidly over the last 30 to 40 years. But there is still corruption, which can block the way for further sustainable development. Not only in the public sector but also in the private sector, Korea has been unable to shake corruption from our society. Everybody knows it is a serious problem in our society. so now is the time to weed It out.
We will study how to interpret and solve the korean corruption, both theoretically and practically, build a database for studying anti-corruption, and make a network with internally and externally related organizations and resource persons. We hope we can get your support to contribute to purge corruption in this society. We are waiting for more advices and cooperations. Thank you so much.
